Bug Description

1. Start a daily ISO amd64 live session.

2. Start `ubiquity --debug`.

3. Press "continue" after being prompted to read release notes.

4. Press "continue" on the panel that describes the disk usage space, asks about codecs/updates.

5. Sit and stare as nothing happens.

I am wondering if it's related to the partitioner barfing over my BTRFS RAID but I have no way of testing this. I can't get at the computer to disconnect the SATA cables and my EFI won't let me disable the drives.

As I suspected, this problem disappeared after manually disconnecting the drives that comprise my BTRFS RAID10 array. Ubiquity and the partitioning tool have had problems with complicated setups over the years from dm-raid to apparently btrfs drives or arrays.

Had the same bug today using the daily live build.
I believe this issue happened because i have a ssd card. I installed 13.04 in other computers without any hassle.

In 5 attempts i was able to advance to the partition screen 2 times, by doing an dist-upgrade in the live cd.

This is still affecting the most recent daily ISO and I can confirm it affects Kubuntu as well. As soon as the partitioner stages start up it just spins and spins. I've also tried with/without the "Install updates" checked to the same result.

I'd be happy to walk through any steps that may be helpful and/or post other logs if the partitioner happens to spit out any extra logs elsewhere.

Is this duplicate of bug 1080701 ? Note that some images have it fixed in 23, 23.1 or 24 builds. So please try images from 20130424 or better.
