I'm installingf my previous applications after having performed a clean installation of Ubuntu 12.04. This is possibly an application that requires a third-party repository (or is not installable via a repository).

The manner in which I'm performing this reinstallation is as follows:

sudo dpkg --set-selections < installed-software.txt (txt file that contains a list of all previously installed/deinstalled software)
sudo dselect
