I've come up with generalisation of that approach, which will also fix any other scripts enountered outside of the Ubuntu enclave: make /bin/sh point to /bin/bash by default, thus applying to systems other than Mark's, and persisting across any future installations. I suggest adding this innovative new feature in time for Feisty.
