Kubuntu upgrade from 7.04 to 7.10 fail after error on cupsys package

Binary package hint: cupsys

During upgrade process from 7.04 to 7.10 i receive some pop up error message (sorry a don't have the screenshot). I click continue but after 25 minutes the upgrade process was still at the same percentage (22 %).

I stopped the upgrade and i try to solve manually the problem.

The install of cupsys package failed because the directory /var/run/cups was no more exist.

I created it manually and i reinstalled the cupsys packages.

I have completed the upgrade process using, same dpkg --configure -a same apt-get -f install and adept.
