Tim, it seems that one needs to have a big bunch of print queues installed, with different backends and PPD files. Hammering in thousands of identical raw queues with the same device URI seems not to trigger the problem. The important seems to be to have a base of ~100 well different queues. Then adding or removing queues will trigger the bug in some rare cases.
