To get this information, please:
1.) remove pending printing jobs
2.) unplug your printer
3.) do a full update of your jaunty system
4.) plug in you printer again, if a dialog asks you for the driver, choose a driver from the list, if a notification bubble appears go on
5.) describe what exactly happend when you pluged in your printer
6.) run cupsctl LogLevel=debug
7.) try to print something.
8.) Add /var/log/cups/error_log as an attachment to the bug report.
