Well, I tried the aa-complain command again and still fail. Specifically:

root@justin-mininote:~# aa-complain cupsd
Setting /usr/sbin/cupsd to complain mode.
Warning: unable to find a suitable fs in /proc/mounts, is it mounted?
Use --subdomainfs to override.

I've attached the kern.log and some other info.
