This is an old problem still unresolved fully. The way it manifests for me is, for example:-
Go to news.bbc.co.uk
File>Print Preview works and shows the images. File>Print (without changing any settings) prints with black rectangles where the images should be.
That is clearly a bug when preview and print display different results.
However File>Print then choose the Options tab, check the Print Background check box and then print and the images are printed as per the Preview.
I don't know if it is an issue with the way Firefox interprets the page or CUPS. Does anybody know why the above behaviour occurs?
