Can please everyone who is still observing cups-browsed to take high CPU loads (100%, 200%, ...) follow my instructions in comment #8 and comment #15 to obtain a debug log and attach it to this bug report?

Also run the commands

    $ avahi-browse -rt _ipps._tcp
    $ avahi-browse -rt _ipp._tcp

and post their poutput.
