I'll see if I can create some code that does that.

But I hope to get an answer from upstream how they would like it to be solved.

That way I don't have to create any code which we'll gonna throw away later. :-)

But more importantly they can incorporate it in the upstream version, so others don't encounter the same problems and have to go looking for solutions as well.
