By the way, the real, underlying problem is of course that overlapping shortcuts should be possible (like in Mac and Windows), which is caused by this XKB bug reported 14 years ago (and still active): https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=865

It is basically about activating shortcuts on keypress vs key release.
