Definitely this is a major bug that has affected all my Oneiric and Precise installations. Even a lot of the ccsm plugins extras like 'wallpaper' are totally non-functional. Just after installing Oneiric and downloading ccsm and trying to set up the plugins , an array of anomolous screen jumpers takes place possibly leading the end_user to assume that they have a bad .iso file, bad video card or there is something terribly wrong with their PCs.
I tried to do some work on conf-editor but that format in <apps<nautalis<preferences is not a standard format to earlier versions of Ubuntu - ie; maveric.lucid.
