This bug is actually more than just one bug.

Gnome-control-center and "non-functional zoom option" visible in UI is the first one: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/603415

Unity's overlay shortcuts clashing with default Compiz Ezoom shortcuts should have its own bug report. I couldn't find one on LP. Could you file a new bug report or shall I?
