This is occuring on ubuntu 11.10, system reguireless of the WM the system is useless MOBO has a Intel intergrated G33 video card is used. Sad and disappointed. Had a functional system with a fresh install using the Nvidia GT9400 1GB DDR2 using all WM's.

I removed the Nvidia card to install in a new I5 VT capable Mobo. It was my hope to give this old system to my wife. Since none of you want to fix it, when I have time I'll do myself.

Boys upward compatabity if important! I've seen the number of patches this week. Keep on trucking I know your hands are full. Why was I using the older WM. Sometimes, ie.. My wife and others have been using Ubuntu since 8.04 LTS, they are content and familar with the Classic GNOME. I have to support Ubuntu and all the other Linux versions, lately ubuntu has become quite unstable requiring to much attention. There's a reason why I have to identical systems using server with Desktop WM at home. I have to integrate with MS 2008-R2, AD LDS, IPv6, etc.... All my problemS are on Ubuntu Server, Desktop, not Fedora. I can't believe I am saying this, I always perfered Debian based products not RH. SLES is solid as well, but as soon as install Selinux on any of the latest flavors of Ubuntu, well good luck guys.

I wanted to switch everyone to Windows 7, along with the integrate the latest Ubuntu w/Enterprie version 2008-R2, the VHd's, etc.. Windows is a lot easier to support, manage, and your upgrades, they a joke. Do rember Sun Solaris, AIX, HP, overlays flawless for the past 20 years, why? Figure it out!

Too many bugs, not enough voluteers, yet some of you get paid at the business level, your QA, well if you were working for me, every cowboy would be fired. It bad face on Linux and it needs to stop, do things right the first time or don't do it at all. remember Policies, procedures, change managment, etc.... Whoops what that?

I've use to be a Unix/Linux biggit, not any more. The old MS is now Ubuntu, not Fedora or CentOS.
