Hardware: Intel Core i5, Nvidia GTX570
Symptoms: Anything related to moving windows around is absolutely insanely sluggish/jittery/slow. Reverting to either Ubuntu Classic (no effects) or Unity2d brings the window management back to being smooth as silk. However, both of those workarounds have serious drawbacks.
I have tried all the reported fixes in this thread, relating to vsync and various compiz settings/configuration changes. I've also tried running kernel 3.0.3 w/ the Nvidia 275 drivers - which seem to have the same identical problem, so it appears the issue is definitely in compiz itself. Around 50 reboots and a couple fresh installs later, and I'm exactly where I started.
