In Ubuntu Karmic, taking a screenshot of a fullscreen app like mplayer cannot be done. The prompt to save the image does not appear until after fullscreen mode has been exited. Because of this, the resulting screencap may include undesired graphical elemnts.
Furthermore, the screenshots will ALWAYS show the cursor, even if it disappeared due to inactivity, unless tricky split-second commands are done to exit fullscreen and save the image.
In Jaunty, fullscreen screenshots worked fine and the prompt would appear.
