Upgrade installation of Hardy 8.04. 95% of the time the window decorator of the inactive windows are not rendered. 5% of the time they are present and are correct. Attached png shows incorrect behavior. Clicking on inactive window redraws active decorator and you can even click in the vicinity of where the close or minimize buttons should be and the action will work.
Emerald is not installed... Using Nvidia card with non-free driver in a dual monitor setup. Just basic compiz fusion and KDE. The same issue also occurs in the KDE4 remix (almost identical behavior). I had compiz fusion installed and working prior to Hardy but I was using emerald as the kde decorator "wasn't happy" at the time.
