Compiz loses windows when going from dual to single monitor

Bug Description

If I have a dual monitor setup (nvidia twinview) with one screen on top of the other, with some windows (terminal, etc) on the bottom screen, when I switch to single monitor mode those windows are no longer accessible. They don't show up in the panel, and the only way to get them back is to switch back into dual-monitor mode.

Expected behaviour would be to move any windows that are off the visible workspace back onto it.

This is in gutsy.

Hi there
you report this some time ago and hasn't been any activity since then, so i was wondering if this is still an issue for you.

Thanks in advance

by the way, could you please try to reproduce this behavior under Hardy Heron.

Thanks

This still occurs in Hardy. When having dual-monitor side-by-side and shutting off the right-hand monitor, windows that were on the right side of workspace 1 end up on workspace 2, that's a little annoying but not a big deal. Having dual monitor under-and-over and turning off the top screen (which is the one with the panels), windows (and panels) from the top move to the bottom, windows on the bottom go missing.

Since it's been a very long time since any additional info was added to this bug, I'm just checking to see if this is still an issue, and if any additional work should be done on this bug.

It might be a while before I get to test it again, I don't use machines in
that configuration at the moment.

Eythian, I'm going to go ahead and close this for now then due to the age of the bug. If you experience this problem again, please come back to this bug and change it's status back to "New" for it to be re-evaluated. Thanks again for helping make Ubuntu better for everyone!
