Bug Description
Binary package hint: compiz
With 'normal desktop effects' enabled (the default in Gutsy tribe 4), the arrow keys don't do anything in conjunction with CTRL-SHIFT anymore.
CTRL-SHIFT + an arrow normally selects text (eg one word at a time if you use the left or right arrows).
This affects gedit, Firefox, etc.

I can confirm this - it's the same way on my laptop and affects anywhere I can input text . I'm a programmer and this kind of functionality is essential for me, so the lack of it with desktop effects turned on is really annoying. If Gutsy really is going to be composite- by-default, this kind of bugs cannot be left alone.
I attach a screencast where I try to use ctrl + shift +left/right in various situations in gedit, which results only in cursor blinking.
Regards,
Grzegorz
