I have filed this bug upstream also - http://coherence.beebits.net/ticket/339 . It concerns Coherence 0.6.6.2 version.

   1. The current applet-coherence does not use the confFile variable at all, thus dishonouring user's preferances file (~/.coherence). A fix is needed. Fixed in the following patch.

   2. When coherence is started via the trayicon menu, there should be a visual sign for the user, i.e. change of trayicon will be good. An enchancement is needed. I have added it in the following patch + the icon itself.

   3. A desktop file for starting the applet is missing. A fix in the following patch is added.

The patch I am uploading is combined with a security bug I have reported in bug#725556 , so it covers this bug too. The patch considers that the updated python-coherence will be in maverick-security.
