sanktnelson, the recommended way to test the Lucid beta system is to download the iso file from http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-netbook/daily-live/current/. Then you can take a blank USB stick with at least 700mb of space on it and use the Startup USB Disk Creator (I might have the name slightly wrong) under System. Or, if your computer has a cd drive, you can just simply burn the iso onto a CD. Then, you can boot from the CD or the USB stick and run Lucid without affecting your Ubuntu install.
