Ran into this problem with VMware / OVA setup, took a really long time to figure out what the problem was. But now after realizing that the problem is the non-functional /dev/console, isn't thix problem clearly in the image creation?
Since the OVA doesn't have a serial port configured into the VM, the kernel console parameter shouldn't have ttyS0 in it. Right?
So fix is just to remove it?
