Would match [1] in terms of dates since the bugs show up.

We can't easily go back as it is a generated depends:
apt install libllvm3.9=1:3.9.1-5ubuntu1

Instead upgrading to 1:3.9.1-16ubuntu1 from artful proposed was easy but did not resolve the issue.
Subscribing Locutus who did the last llvm uploads - since this is easy to test he might have a ppa to easily do so or anything like it.
