The link that Colin gave before details the versioning rule to apply to fix a package in a released version. This apply for Security as well as any other SRU.
And this package has been removed also from Debian (as you can see at that URL: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/clamav-getfiles/+changelog ), so it's of no use to report the bug to Debian (and I'm wondering if this is worth fixing it as people upgrading to Precise won't have the issue).
Hi,
The link that Colin gave before details the versioning rule to apply to fix a package in a released version. This apply for Security as well as any other SRU.
To test this, you could use a chroot to install older versions of Ubuntu. You can find help at that url: https:/ /help.ubuntu. com/community/ DebootstrapChro ot
And this package has been removed also from Debian (as you can see at that URL: https:/ /launchpad. net/ubuntu/ +source/ clamav- getfiles/ +changelog ), so it's of no use to report the bug to Debian (and I'm wondering if this is worth fixing it as people upgrading to Precise won't have the issue).
Thanks for your work!
