Sorry question of snap hardcoded white list is one issue (and could be viewed as wishlist).
But question of degradation/break of previously working widely used functionality of Chromium in new Ubuntu version is quite different beast.
Currently only possible workaround is build standalone (not snap) chromium from source, which is really bad/complicated way to deal with this problem for 99% of users/enterprises.
