For those like me for whom these are all magical incantations, here's my sequence aggregated from advice above:

Press the Ubuntu/Super key and type "Software" and pick the one that is called "Software & Updates". On the first tab, make sure "source code" is checked. Then, open a terminal and paste the following (line by line up to the apt line, then the rest can go together):
