You have to realize that people working on the drivers do this during their free time. [they are not paid for their work ;-)]
And as i mentioned earlier, the bug is a wishlist and not really a major issue something like a webcam not working at all or crashing.

You could take the laptop outside and the framerate/image would be better.

Anyhoo... commenting about their response lag here is not going to hasten the upstream bug either :-)
