Cheese is a webcam application. Do you have a problem with a webcam ?

I understand that your problem is slow video in Totem but not VLC (what video exactly ? As far as I know, Totem cannot display directly the video from a webcam).

Can you describe exactly the problem and a way to reproduce it on our computers ?
