2008-12-15 06:39:42 use_linux description Binary package hint: cheese Cheese does not work at all with my Acer Aspire 9300 (webcam called orbcam or something like that - it's the standard acer webcam). When I take a picture the LED by the webcam goes on but the Cheese window just stays gray the whole time. Moreover, the program freezes ~20-30 seconds later. Running the program from command line yields the following output when trying to take a picture: (cheese:8211): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid (NULL) pointer instance (cheese:8211): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_signal_connect_data: assertion `G_TYPE_CHECK_INSTANCE (instance)' failed I'm running 8.10 x86_64 ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10 NonfreeKernelModules: ath_hal nvidia Package: cheese 2.24.1-0ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: SHELL=/bin/bash PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SourcePackage: cheese Uname: Linux 2.6.27-7-generic x86_64 Binary package hint: cheese Cheese does not work at all with my Acer Aspire 9300 (webcam called orbicam - it's the standard acer webcam).
