Video seems an old film.
On same PC same webcam Ubuntu 20.04 installed on a different partition cheese 3.34.0-1ubuntu1
the problem does NOT occur.
Same PC and webcam Ubuntu 22.10 on a different partition cheese 43~alpha-1 i see the same problem.
Starting cheese from terminal i see:
