Binary package hint: checkinstall

A fault in checkinstall 1.5.3-3ubuntu2 can leave the filesystem root / in permissions mode 700, which results in an unuseable filesystem for non-root users.

This has been addressed in Debian package 1.6.1-1, as per http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=342578

A backport of this bugfix would be welcome, especially as I broke my Dapper server today because of this!
