per email on ubuntu-release mailing list (0) i have attached my casper.log.

i installed the ubuntustudio precise-dvd-amd64.iso from 2012-03-09. the /etc/security/limits.d/audio.conf.disabled file was not renamed, which i believe should happen on configuring jack and answering that real-time privileges are desired.

please let me know how else i may assist resolving this issue.
