I Calligra Stage and in Calligra words, when I want to type "ê", "î", û", "ô", all I get is ^e ^i ^u and ^o. In all other applications it works correctly. (Firefox, Libreoffice, Geany…) Here is my /etc/default/keyboard file content:

I don't have any ".xinputrc" in my /home/user, nor do I have ibus installed.
I checked if some hidden keys could produce the letters "ê", "î", û", "ô" correctly, and yes, and this is very strange. I can get them to be typed in the Calligra applications with the following suite of keys:

I checked if some hidden keys could produce the letters "ê", "î", û", "ô" correctly, and yes, and this is very strange. I can get them to be typed in the Calligra applications with the following suite of keys:
"Alt-gr + z" gives â, "Alt-gr + r" gives ê, "Alt-gr + i" gives î, and "Alt-gr + p" gives ô.
Here is what I have as kernel: Linux bento64 4.4.0-15-generic, using Description: Ubuntu Xenial Xerus (development branch) fully up to date.
Is it possible to have it fixed? (Or how can I fix it?)
Best regards,
