It's still the same in quest / new created user session. It seems like all of these .desktop files are displayed in that "Open with..." list, even if the last four has "NoDisplay=true" set inside:
/usr/share/applications/brasero.desktop /usr/share/applications/brasero-copy-medium.desktop /usr/share/applications/brasero-open-image.desktop /usr/share/applications/brasero-open-playlist.desktop /usr/share/applications/brasero-open-project.desktop
It shows every application which has "%u" (or other variable) parameter after "Exec=application_name".
