For some reason in network setting I added a wrong domain name where there was a blank field ; this created a stop in the boot procedure (I had to select the special kernel mode to access a console root mode otherwise there was no error message displayed on the screen that had gone from graphics to text mode) ; I fixed it because I remembered the recent modification ; again there is no reason why a wrong set of parameters for internet or for network should create such a situation ; I would expect a boot as a single machine with no network / Internet connection to allow for a fix in this new status.
