OK. If you wish to use Ubuntu 17.10 or later and still have a problem then please try the next step: Find an older kernel more in line with what 17.04 had (kernel version 4.10 or older): http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/?C=N;O=D

If you can find the kernel version it stopped working in then we can work with the kernel team to get a fix.
