From the very short report I guess the user used: Chemistry > Check Chemistry.

However, the crash seems to happen when the window should appear. There are several reports about such an issue, but it is not reproducible for me and I think, the graphics driver could be involved. Based on the stacktrace it seems to be an issue in tcl or blt (trying to show a hidden? window?). Not sure. But it doesn't look like a bug in bkchem. But I can't say this for sure!

Duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bkchem/+bug/380346. Having blt with tcl/tk 8.4 makes this segmentation fault reproducible.
