Thanks for filing this bug in Ubuntu.

Your logs indicate problems with the libssl1.0.0 package in several occasions.

Could you please try the following command to see if that manages to complete the installation:

sudo apt update
sudo apt -f install

If that doesn't help, then please try the following:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install --reinstall libssl1.0.0
