I was able to install it on a 64bit system and read my B eID, but the main function, being a middleware for multiple crypt and signing functions doesn't work, you can't either install the FF module - as the librarys are missing and you can't use OpenOffice or Thunderbird for signing as the certificates aren't installed - or at least not found.
as noted on the publishers website the tool is only compatible with 32bit systems as it needs some special librarys. eid.belgium. be/fr/Comment_ installer_ l_eID/Linux/
