Just running sudo dpkg --config initramfs-tools:

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo dpkg --configure initramfs-tools
Setting up initramfs-tools (0.98.1ubuntu2) ...

cp: cannot stat `/vmlinuz': No such file or directory
