At my senior prom, which was held in a ballroom, I called a very nice girls dress a "floral monstrosity". It was a big ball gown, everyone else was in standard formal stuff. I felt like an asshole by the end of the night.

I occasionally look for her on Facebook to apologize. No luck so far. She was a really nice girl, and I was an edgy asshole. :(
