There is a patch for the driver on http://pastebin.com/pATazP6K – found it through https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/broadcom-wl/

I've applied the patch on my Lenovo Z510 (which also has a BCM43142 chip) using dkms (copied the patch into /usr/src/bcmwl-…/patches, edited the dkms.conf, adding the patch name, called dkms common-postinstall) and since then the wifi has been rock solid.

@Christopher M. Penalver: Can I somehow help to include the patch in the bcmwl-kernel-source package?
