When initiating suspend (to RAM), the kernel gets tainted. This is a regression that appeared after upgrading from Kubuntu 13.10 to 14.04. My computer has a discrete nVidia card (hybrid SLI system, on ASUS UL80VT). Here is an extract from dmesg:
