Bug Description
Yesterday I upgrade and apt installed backport-
I received a notification telling me I could select a different driver or something. This opened "driver manager" (in kde) and I was able to select iwlwifi-something. I followed hint, but not really knowing what this would. I assumed it was a driver specific to my wifi card that would replace the default.
I was able to continue working but upon reboot, when I logged in, after a few seconde (when my system tried connecting to wifi) everything froze and I was only able to do a hard reboot.
After a few failed attempts to reboot and login normally, I switched to tty2, logged in, and tried to connect to wifi using nmcli. At the end of a long output, "kernel panic" was printed to my console before freeze.
When booting (with grub) to previous kernel version everything worked fine, and when I purged backport-
I am using ubuntu 19.10 with kde (kubuntu) with kernel version 5.3.0-24-generic
This is my first bug report so I hope this is the right place to report this, sorry if it isn't!
