Thanks for the steps to reproduce the issue and the proposed patch rdratlos.

The bug #1988730 you mentioned is valid and should be fixed in Jammy, but I believe you should try to forward the patch your are proposing here to upstream and get any feedback there. Once it gets merged we can work to add it to Jammy via a SRU (Stable Release Update).

In case you forward it to upstream, please add a reference here to the merge request so we can track everything.
