I'm setting this back to Incomplete, but I think what we need here is a minimal set of steps to reproduce the issue on a clean Ubuntu system. Something like steps to setup loopback NFS mounts in Bionic and Focal LXD containers, bringing to duplicate `gio mount -l` entries on the Focal container.

Is Jammy still affected?
