Per the version number (as an example lacking the -0ubuntu1 suffix), this package is synced directly from Debian without changes, Therefore, the issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Debian/Bugs. This is not likely to happen as packages in Ubuntu may not be the latest. Ubuntu aims for stability, so "latest" may not be a good idea. Post-release updates are only considered if they are fixes for security vulnerabilities, high impact bug fixes, or unintrusive bug fixes with substantial benefit. A small patch might work, but one would have to be willing to patch this older version.
