If removing your user dconf database works around the problem, could you please try and get a dump of the database when you have login problems?
To do this, go to a terminal of any kind, and run: dconf dump / > dconf-dump.txt
Attach dconf-dump.txt to this file, so we can further examine it, and try and work out what is causing the login issue.
