Bug #1078544. Fixed in Quantal with
aptdaemon=0.45+bzr861-0ubuntu9.1.2. Any kernels installed while that
bug was active need to be manually removed or marked auto-installed.
A similar problem with kernel images marked as manually installed was
reported recently when using unattended-upgrades, but has not been
confirmed. Bug #1175637.
