Comment 22 for bug 574886

I can confirm this problem as well. It only began happening to me when I upgraded to Mint 9. I've tried various suggested solutions as outlined in this thread http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=48366 and have not yet found a way to solve this.
